After Bartolomé Esteban Murillo

A finely rendered 19th-century oil painting on copper depicting two young street vendors counting coins next to a woven basket of grapes and citrus fruit. Executed after the famous Baroque masterpiece The Little Fruit Seller by Spanish master Bartolomé Esteban Murillo.

The painting is presented in a heavy gilt and black ebonized frame complete with a brass attribution plaque. The reverse reveals an aged copper panel with historical chalk inventory marks and an antique paper label.

• Technique: Painted on copper plate, which gives the oil colors a smooth, rich finish and remarkable clarity.

• Condition: Displays authentic age and character. There are minor, scattered paint flecks/loss on the lower red garment area and faint surface abrasions visible under close inspection. The original frame shows antique wear, minor cracking at the corners, and edge patina consistent with its late 19th-century date. Ready to hang.
