Beautiful original oil on canvas by French artist Claude Quiesse (born 1938) depicting a shepherd guiding goats through a rural village landscape.
This atmospheric French School composition captures a warm pastoral scene with expressive brushwork, earthy tones, and excellent texture throughout. The central figure dressed in deep red contrasts beautifully against the sunlit countryside and village buildings in the background.
The painting is signed lower right “Quiesse” and presented in an elegant vintage frame that complements the artwork perfectly.
