Johannes Kiser

A charming and atmospheric original oil painting on panel by Dutch artist Johannes Kaiser (b. 1928), depicting a traditional winter skating scene.

The painting shows figures skating across a frozen waterway, surrounded by charming snow-covered Dutch-style cottages, bare trees and a church tower in the distance. The warm evening sky contrasts beautifully with the cool winter landscape, creating a particularly inviting and nostalgic atmosphere.

The work is signed lower left and is presented in an impressive ornate gilt decorative frame, with a burgundy-coloured mount.
