An elegant early 18th-century portrait of a distinguished lady, painted circa 1700–1725, attributed to the British or Continental School. Executed in oil on canvas, the sitter is depicted wearing a finely embroidered gown with delicate lace trim, accented by rich golden detailing and a striking blue jewelled brooch. Her fashionable coiffure and refined attire are characteristic of aristocratic portraiture from the early Georgian period.
