About the Artist:

Charles Henry Malcolm Kerr RBA (1858–1907) was a prominent British portrait painter, genre artist, and illustrator. Educated at Oxford, he studied art at the Royal Academy Schools and the Académie Julian in Paris. He exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists, and the New English Art Club. His works are included in major collections, including the Tate Gallery.
