Reg Lewis

 

A charming original oil painting on canvas depicting a chestnut horse standing in a countryside field, with trees, cottages and a cloudy blue sky in the background. The painting is signed and dated Reg Lewis 1985 to the lower right.

 

The artwork is presented in an ornate gold-tone frame and has a classic equestrian decorative style, making it ideal for a country house, stable office, equestrian-themed interior, study, hallway or collector of horse paintings.

 

The reverse retains an old framer’s label for Beckerman’s Picture Framing, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. The stretcher is also marked “Pedrit 20” or similar.

Condition:
