Alfred Lyndon Grace

The gentleman is shown wearing an elaborate red period costume, feathered hat, lace-trimmed shirt and high leather boots. He sits beside a table set with period objects, with a large fireplace, leaded windows and dark wood panelling creating a wonderfully atmospheric interior setting.

The painting is signed lower right and presented in an impressive ornate gilt frame with scrolling foliate decoration, which complements the period subject beautifully.
