A charming original oil painting on board by Helmut Josef Schilhabel, also written on the reverse as Schilhabel-Schillhabel, German artist 1896–1972.

The painting depicts a muted winter village landscape with houses, trees and snow-covered ground. It is executed with expressive, textured brushwork and a subdued tonal palette, giving the scene an atmospheric and impressionistic quality.

The work is signed lower left and is presented in a decorative frame. The reverse bears a handwritten artist attribution and dates.
