A charming 19th-century family portrait depicting a young woman seated in an elegant domestic interior, wearing a blue dress and holding flowers. The finely detailed watercolour is presented behind glass in an elaborate antique gilt frame decorated with scrolling foliage, floral motifs and ornate corner details. The work is unsigned. The reverse bears a handwritten identification label reading “Miss E. Allen”. A particularly attractive decorative antique portrait with considerable period character and visual appeal.
