Beautiful original oil on canvas by Elisabeth Leuenberger, Swiss, born 1939, titled “I Am a Swiss Boy.”

The painting depicts a charming alpine pastoral scene with a young Swiss boy resting beneath a large tree, surrounded by goats on a sunlit mountain hillside. The work has rich brushwork, strong texture, and attractive use of light and shadow, especially in the tree, rocks, grass, and animals. A very decorative and characterful Swiss rural scene.

Signed “E. Leuenberger” lower left. The reverse has an old handwritten German label, appearing to read:
