Christopher Drahtmann Stag & Deer Sunset Oil on Canvas German Antique

A beautiful late 19th / early 20th-century German oil painting by Christopher Drahtmann (1856–1931), depicting a majestic stag with a group of deer across a natural landscape at sunset.

The painting features a large antlered stag in the foreground, with deer grazing in the distance beneath a softly glowing evening sky. The atmospheric landscape and warm, muted palette create a peaceful and highly decorative woodland scene.

The work is signed lower left “Drahtmann” and presented in an impressive, ornate gilt frame with elaborate decorative detailing.

Condition
