Condition

The painting presents with a dark, atmospheric surface and displays age-related wear, marks, scattered specks and surface texture consistent with its age. No examination under ultraviolet light has been undertaken, and the artwork has not been removed from its frame.

The gilt frame and fabric-covered inner slip display rubbing, scratches, discolouration, small losses and general wear. The reverse covering and securing materials are aged, creased and distressed.
